selection process
The selection process includes the following steps:
- Written Examination: Translation tasks include:
- Three paragraphs in Bengali, Hindi and Nepali are to be translated into English (10 marks each).
- Two paragraphs are to be translated from English to Bengali and from English to Hindi (10 marks each).
The written test is of 50 marks, and candidates must score a minimum of 60% marks to qualify.
- Spoken-voice/Interview: The interview is of 10 marks. Candidates must score a minimum of 40% marks to qualify.

- Fill the form with accurate details, attach the required documents, and paste a recent passport size photograph.
- Submit the filled application form in a sealed envelope with the category and post mentioned on the upper left corner.
- Send the application to the Registrar, Original Party, First Floor, Main Building, High Court, Calcutta, Kolkata – 700001.
Required Documents:
- Three identical passport size photographs (one pasted and two stapled).
- Two self-addressed envelopes bearing postage stamps of ₹45.
- Self-attested photocopies of mark sheets and certificates for class 10 and 12.
- Caste or exempted category certificate (if applicable).
- Bank challan for fee payment.
