Haryana Police Constable Recruitment 2024 Selection Process
As per the new recruitment rules of Haryana Police Constable Recruitment 2024, candidates 10 times the number of vacancies will be called for Physical Measurement Test (PMT) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET). As per the new recruitment rules, PMT and PET will be of qualifying nature and no marks will be given for PMT and PET. After that, a written exam will be conducted which will consist of 100 questions for 94.5 marks.
Candidates will also be given 2.5 marks for socio-economic criteria and 3 marks for NCC certificate. The selection process of Haryana Police Constable Recruitment 2023 consists of the following stages:
- Stage-1: Physical Measurement Test (PMT)- Ability
- Stage-2: Physical Efficiency Test (PET)- Ability
- Phase-3: Written Examination- 94.5% weightage
- Step-4: Document Verification- 3% weightage (NCC)
- Step-5: Medical Examination
Haryana Police Constable Exam Pattern & Syllabus
Haryana Staff Selection Commission will shortlist candidates equal to four times the number of posts advertised for each category, who qualify for the Physical Measurement Test and Physical Screening Test, to proceed to the Knowledge Test. The detailed procedure of the test will be as follows:
- (a) All candidates will be required to take a Knowledge Test carrying 94.5% (94.5%) weightage consisting of objective type multiple choice questions. Each question will carry equal marks.
- (b) The medium of examination shall be bilingual i.e. Hindi/English except in cases where knowledge of Hindi/English language of the candidates is to be tested.
- (c) The exam paper will consist of questions from General Studies, General Science, Current Affairs, General Reasoning, Mental Ability, Numerical Ability, Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, other relevant field/trade etc. At least 10% of the questions will relate to basic knowledge of computers and at least 20% of the questions will relate to basic knowledge about Haryana. The standard of questions will be as expected of an educated person who has passed 10+2 examination for the post of Constable and Graduation for the post of Sub-Inspector.
- (d) To be considered for selection for a General Category post, a candidate must secure a minimum of 50% marks (excluding socio-economic criteria weightage) in the Knowledge Test. In case of being considered for a reserved category post (whether vertical or horizontal), a candidate will get a concession of 10%, i.e. the minimum cut-off for such candidates will be 40% (excluding socio-economic criteria weightage).
