eligibility criteria:-

Age Limit – Indian Air Force Recruitment 2024

Candidates age should not be less than 17 1/2 years and not more than 21 years as on 1st January 2024. Candidates born between 02 July 2004 and 03 January 2008 (both dates inclusive) are eligible to apply.

IEducational Qualification – Indian Air Force Recruitment 2024

Science subjects :

  • Candidates must have passed Intermediate / 10+2 / equivalent examination with Mathematics, Physics and English from an education board listed as COBSE member with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English. OR
  • Passed 3 years Diploma course in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Automobile/Computer Science/Instrumentation Technology/Information Technology) from a Government recognized Polytechnic Institute with 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in Diploma course (or in Intermediate/Matriculation, if English is not a subject in Diploma course). OR
  • Passed two year vocational course with Physics and Mathematics as non-vocational subjects from State Education Boards/Councils listed in COBSE with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in vocational course (or in Intermediate/Matriculation, if English is not a subject in vocational course)

Subjects other than science:

 

  • Passed Intermediate/10+2/equivalent examination in any subject approved by Central/State Education Board listed as COBSE member with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English OR
  • Passed two year vocational course from a Board of Education listed as COBSE member with minimum 50% marks and 50% marks in English in vocational course or in Intermediate/Matriculation if English is not a subject in vocational course.

Mandatory medical standards

  • Height: Minimum acceptable height is 152.5 cms
  • Chest : Minimum limit of expansion : 5 cms
  • Weight: Proportionate to height and age.
  • Corneal surgery (PRK/LASIK) is not acceptable. Visual requirements as per Indian Air Force standards are applicable.
  • Hearing Capacity: The candidate must have normal hearing capacity, i.e. he/she should be able to hear a whisper from a distance of 6 meters with each ear separately.
  • Dental: Must have healthy gums, good teeth and a minimum of 14 dental points.

 

Selection Process – Indian Air Force Recruitment 2024

 

Phase 1: Online Test:

  • Eligible candidates will be sent Provisional Admit Cards for Phase-I on their registered e-mail ID 48-72 hours before the examination, which they will download and take a colour printout of and carry the same to the examination centre on the day of online examination as indicated on their respective Admit Card for appearing in the selection test.
  • Candidates can also download this provisional admit card by visiting the CASB web portal https://agnipathvayu.cdac.in.
  • The online exam will be objective type and the questions will be bilingual (English & Hindi) except the English paper.
  • The online exam for candidates opting for Science stream and other than Science stream will be conducted in one go, on the same system. Candidates must bring a blue/black pen and original Aadhar card with them for the Phase-I test.
  • The details of the test are as follows:-
  • (a) Science Subject: The total duration of the online exam will be 60 minutes and it will consist of English, Physics and Mathematics as per 10+2 CBSE syllabus.
  • (b) Apart from Science subjects: The total duration of the online exam will be 45 minutes and it will include English and Reasoning & General Awareness (RAGA) as per 10+2 CBSE syllabus.
  • (c) Science subjects and subjects other than Science: The total duration of the online exam will be 85 minutes and it will consist of English, Physics and Mathematics and Reasoning & General Awareness (RAGA) as per 10+2 CBSE syllabus.
  • (d) Marking Pattern for Online Examination:- (i) One mark for each correct answer. (ii) Zero (0) marks for unattempted question. (iii) 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.

Phase 2 Selection

  • Soon after declaration of result of Phase-I (Online) examination, cut off will be applied based on marks obtained by the candidates in Phase-I examination and shortlisted candidates will be sent a fresh admit card on their registered e-mail ID for Phase-II examination at a specified ASC.
  • These Admit Cards for Phase-II Examination can also be downloaded online from the CASB web portal https://agnipathvayu.cdac.in under candidate’s login.
  • Candidates are required to report at the specified ASC on the scheduled date and time for Phase-II along with the following documents:-
  • (a) Colour printout of Admit Card for Phase-II.
  • (b) On completion of online registration a colour printout of the duly filled application form will be downloaded.
  • (c) HB pencil, eraser, sharpener, glue stick, stapler and black/blue ball point pen for writing.
  • (d) Copies of eight unattested passport size colour photographs (which was used for online application registration).
  • (e) Original and four self-attested photocopies of Matriculation passing certificate (required for verification of candidate’s name, father’s name and his/her date of birth).
  • (f) Matriculation mark sheet in original and four self-attested photocopies (applicable only for three year Diploma course holders, when English is not a subject in the Diploma course).
  • (g) Original and four self-attested photocopies of Intermediate / 10+2 / equivalent examination passing certificate and mark sheet. OR
  • Three-year Diploma course passing certificate and original and four self-attested photocopies of mark sheets of all semesters. OR
  • Original and four self-attested photocopies of all mark sheets including passing certificate of two year vocational course and non-vocational course with English, Physics and Mathematics subjects.
  • (h) Certificate for SOAFP (Sons of Air Force Personnel) including certificate for sons of serving/retired/deceased Air Force civilian employees.
  • (j) First Stage Admit Card used during the First Stage examination, bearing the Air Force seal and signature of the invigilator.
