Selection process
The selection process for Junior Overman (Trainee) and Mining Sirdar (selection Grade-I) will be conducted through a written test of 100 marks. The test will include two parts:
- Part-me: 30 questions from general aptitude (quantitative qualification, logic, general awareness) – Diploma level
- Part-II: 70 questions from subject knowledge
The test will be conducted in English language, with a total period of 120 minutes. There is no negative marking.
Qualification marks:
- Ur/EWS: 50%
- SC/ST/OBC-NCL (against reserved posts): 40%
Additional 20 bonus marks will be given to the projects affected persons (PAPS) of NLCIL Neyveli projects. The final merit list will be prepared on the basis of total marks. In the case of tie, the order of the alphabet of seniority and names will be considered based on age.
