Educational qualification

| HP Administrative Services, Block Development Officer, Tehsildar, Assistant Commissioner | Abachelor’s degree or its equivalent. Candidates appearing for their final degree examination (pending results) can apply provisionally with the intention of appearing, provided that they complete the exam before the HPAS exam starts. The proof of passing should be submitted within 02 months of the date of commencement of the examination. For MBB or equivalent medical qualifications, who have passed the candidates, but cannot complete their internships, they can apply provisionally, submitting proof of passing the final professional examination. They have to provide full certificate (including internship) at the personality test phase. |

Selection process
- preliminary examination:
- 02 objective papers (General Studies and Qualification Test, 200 marks each).
aptitude Test: - Minimum 33% marks
- The merit list includes (general studies).
Negative marking is applied (1/3rd mark cut per wrong answer).
Main Exam:
Compulsory letters (English, Hindi, Essay, General Studies I-III) and 01 optional subjects (two papers).
Personality Test: As well as the main examination assesses intellectual properties, social symptoms and suitability for service contributing to the final qualification.
